Nature is a common language connecting many often conflicting cultures, it helps us to revisit our primitive roots in order to move forward.

Storm Tray Project investigates ways to bring nature into our daily life and reminds us during our daily busy lives of the beauty, complexity, and fragility of earth ecosystems.

Storm Tray’s gentle undulating landscapes are inspired by the ocean and seas surrounding Japanese archipelago. The idea was to find a multifunctional formal language for organic material, a domestic landscape that can adapt to different needs of the user. Each tray can be made unique with endless variations of polygonal valley compositions and providing greater functional quality of the tray.
