[im]possible living

Created in January 2011, the [im]possible living app serves as an extensive database of abandoned buildings.

The creators of [im]possible living, Andrea Sesta and Daniela Galvani, define it as a platform and database to connect people and places through the practice of geo-localized mapping. A democratic system of viewing and tagging abandoned spaces, [im]possible living is now a site on which everyone can play an active role.

All it takes when coming across a disused building while walking around the city or countryside is to stop for a moment, take a picture, and upload it via the mobile app (for iPhone and Android). A new entry indicating an abandoned building is created instantly. After that anybody can consult the data on the [im]possible living site. Try it!
