The concept behind the collection presented at Marmomacc 2011 focuses on certain salient characteristics. The reference to precious stones as the source of inspiration to accentuate the luxury and preciousness of the details. The insertion of light on the rear of the panels where, by thinning the marble at some points, the material gleams in a very sophisticated way. The uniqueness of the creations, which are not only studied ad hoc for each customer but are also hard to reproduce on account of their complexity, their high performance characteristics and the skills of the workers that are needed to create them. Finally, the original mix of materials that accompany the marble - including brass, steel and Plexiglas — is at the heart of the Citco project.
A working process that is inspired by jewels with a cabochon cut, without facets. A series of round, convex coloured stones, small glimmering back-lit semi-spheres, set in black marble and connected together by thin brass strips. Like necklaces laid on the black velvet of a jewel box.
Fleur du Desert
An evocative reference to Arabian-style decorative motifs. The pink marble stars are reminiscent of the faceted cut of diamonds. They are mixed with chrome steel inserts and are positioned individually on a steel ferrule.
A geometric texture of concentric circles on black marble. Each sphere is designed by a number of small perforated circles inserted into which are chrome steel cylinders and pink marble. The extraordinary innovations for this year are the light bulbs in 3 sizes made completely of white onyx and hollowed out internally to house the light. These emanate uniquely warm light and a sophisticated atmosphere.
Hexagone
A working process with a hexagonal geometric motif, in bas-relief in the tones of white and green marble. The central part of each hexagon is a smaller hexagon made of thin marble that allows the light that arrives from behind to filter through.
White Carrara marble for a motif that plays with the theme of buttons. Large concave marble buttons 40cm in diameter with two or four holes are stuck onto a marble plate. The thread is marble. Each button is embellished by brass outer edging.
Tantra
A panel made by overlapping four Carrara marble plates. This is an elegant and refined solution that brings out the most classic beauty of marble, creating white-on-white bas-reliefs and a texture that takes up the motif of the arrow. Every project is unique, made-to-measure following the customer's requirements. Materials and measurements are always personalisable.
