The installation-performance created by the Spanish designer at the Aram Gallery in London is an ephemeral lampshade made from 24 chocolate bars that slowly turn around a central light source. In the process, the chocolate melts and can be collected (and eaten) drop by drop. As well as a reflection on chocolate, its properties and its almost unanimous appreciation around the world, Chocochandelier also presents an occasion to think about the relationship between light and heat. An association that will soon be forgotten as traditional light bulbs disappear from our homes. E. S.
