Architecture Invisible

They pass almost unobserved but make up an integral part of building design – light, air and atmospheric agents are what Philippe Rahm defines as “invisible architecture”. They are the factors that have the power to modify our perception of the environment, placing design in a more everyday and less monumental perspective.

The attention given to these elements is the theme linking the work and research of five architects on show: Bauart, Cero 9, Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster, Diller Scofidio + Renfro, and Fabric. It is also the liet motiv of a series of conferences and film showings planned for the whole month of April that includes the short films Alps by Armin Linke and Atomic Park by Dominque Gonzalez-Foerster (April 10) and a panel debate that attempts to examine the current state of architecture, climate and sustainable development (April 14).
