Moritz Waldemeyer, Florian Dussopt / Bombay Sapphire

A six-metre blue sapphire twist lights up the night at Gaussian Blur – a mix of creativity, networking, music and cocktails at Tortona 37.

The idea first sprang to mind one evening, after last year's Fair. The expedition around the furniture and events had ended all too quickly and what was lacking was a great creative event that would allow people to unwind after the long day.
These thoughts inspired Gaussian Blur, a rendezvous named after the graphic software used to blur and mix images, exactly what designers Moritz Waldemeyer and Florian Dussopt hope will happen with Bombay Twist, a blue-sapphire luminous spiral made of assorted materials featuring a sinuous play of light and on the surface of which are projected evocative images, all strictly blue sapphire, created by students from Middlesex University in London who specialise in animation design.
