“Björk Digital”, coproduced by the CCCB, Sold Out and DG Entertainment in association with Sónar, is an immersive virtual reality environment that presents some of the artist’s work in collaboration with artists such as Michel Gondry, Spike Jonze, Alexander McQueen, Nick Knight, Stephane Sedanaoui, or the more recent Jesse Kanda, Andrew Thomas Huang, Warren du Preez and Nick Thornton Jones.

For the CCCB, this event marks a line of research into new ways of experiencing exhibition spaces. From immersive theatre to multiscreen or 360º audiovisual installations and virtual reality environments, many artists are working with a new logic that has profound repercussions for the classic relation between spectator and works, with contemplation and the predominance of sight giving way to immersion in the form of multisensorial, performative experiences.
