Raffaella Mangiarotti and Ilkka Suppanen designed a lounge chair for Italian brand B-Line, suitable as an indoor or outdoor piece of furniture that can be placed both in private and public spaces. The Merano lounge chair was presented during Milan Design Week 2017.

The chair has been designed to be easily transported and stored thanks to its tubular lightweight frame – a painted and galvanized steel rod – that holds the cushions. When frame and cushions are separated the volume decreases considerably, reducing the packaging needed. To enhance its relaxation capacity, the lounge chair can be completed with a comfortable pouf/footrest, which can also be used as an occasional chair.
