Ladies&Gentlemen

Curated by Secondome and PS, the second “Ladies&Gentlemen” is once again an interesting show of designers and companies. Do not miss Apparatu’s research into Dekton by Cosentino. #MDW2017

If the location works, don’t change it. For the second year running, a whole floor of the captivating venue at Via Cesare Correnti 14 is hosting a large collective exhibition of designers and companies. This year’s “Ladies&Gentlemen” is curated by PS and Claudia Pignatale of Rome gallery Secondome.

Several interesting projects are secreted away in the old slightly faded rooms and long hallways of the house overlooking a lovely “old Milan” courtyard. They include research by Apparatu (alias Xavier Mañosa) into Dekton. Artisanally working Cosentino ’s super-technological material, a combination of 20+ minerals, Mañosa has created a functioning kitchen prototype entirely out of Dektonclay, an extruded lamp and a set of vases.

Botteganove presents a collection by its new art director Chiara Andreatti who continues to explore the 3D essence of mosaic cladding. By contrast, the Secondome gallery introduces the “Unplugged” collection with designs by Stefano Marolla, Giò Tirotto, Vito Nesta, Alessandro Zambelli, 4P1B and Millim Studio. Finally come Silvio Mondino with the Chemistry light collection, Vito Nesta with Les Ottomans and Leftover with pieces in brass, marble, wood, glass and copper.
