Flamingo is a stool designed by Norwegian designers Guro Sørbø Midtun and Siri Line from StudioFøy, inspired by the beautiful flamingo bird. It has a minimalistic expression, and comes in different shades of pink and two sizes.

The stool has a soft padded seat, with a handle that makes it functional and easy to move around. The shape was inspired by the peculiar way flamingos drink water and catch fish, with their beaks upside-down. The same way the stool has two tiny legs and one long throat that “dives into water”. “Flamingos are very social birds; they live in colonies whose population can number in the thousands. So, there is no limit of how many flamingo-stools you can gather: you can make your own colony of flamingos”, the designers explain. The stool can easily be separated in different parts, and put together in a flat pack form to ease transportation.
