Heng is a series of table lamps created by Chinese designer Zanwen Li, that use magnetic spheres to turn on light. Launched on kickstarter, it still has eighteen days to go, and fully reached its goal.

Breaking the traditional way we turn on lamps, the two balls in the wooden frames serve as real switches. Raising the lower ball, they are drawn together magnetically, floating in the air until they reach a balance, and then turn on. The designers main goal, he explain, was to “bring joy to our monotonous life”. The series comes in three different shapes and sizes.
