BIG: Hot to Cold

Exhibited at DAM in Frankfurt am Main, “Hot to Cold” takes the visitor on a journey round the globe, exploring the elements, that finally shape our cities and buildings.

Under harsh demands of climatic extremes architecture serves primarily shading from the heat or sheltering from the cold. The milder or more temperate environments often leave more room for other factors, such as culture, program, politics and legislation to shape the buildings.
