Isfahan, in Iran, had always been a garden city, however, nowadays only few of them survived. During the development of the city, beautiful gardens have been transformed into neighborhood streets. Shervin Hosseini from Bracket Design Studio was asked to build a single family house with a relevant green area, to bring back this forgotten aspect.

Due to restricting regulations, the architects were led to build a third floor below the ground level, leaving space for the garden. The area was then divided in two defined parts: a concrete compact building and a green private area, with a swimming pool and a courtyard, not to be seen from the neighboring houses, and protected from the arid desert air during summer.
