At Maison Objet 2016, London based studio Poetic Lab presented a wall clock that constantly changes its appearance, expressing the passage of time. Manufactured under their own design label Beyond Object, the Silo clock cast attractive shadows on the wall whilst performing gentle movements.

Designed as a kinetic sculpture that tells time, it features angular hour and minute hands that play on mathematical tangential relations and triangular forms. Using essential elements like thin lines and circles combined together, it derives its name from the sound of the word ‘silhouette’. The 12 precision cut smoky perspex indicating markers compliment the design language of the clock itself and produces shadows with sunlight.
