The ultimate aim of the Tile of Spain Awards is to promote the use of Spanish ceramic tiles in architecture and interior design (both in Spain and abroad).   

Registration is open and the project submission deadline is 26th October 2016. The Awards have a prize fund of 39,000 euros distributed among three categories. The two main categories are Architecture and Interior Design, each with a cash prize of 17,000 euros. The main entry requirement is that the projects feature ceramic tiles made in Spain. The third category is the Final Degree Project, targeting students of Architecture and with a cash prize of 5,000 euros. The panel of judges are also entitled to give two special mentions in each category.

Gonçalo Byrne will be chairing the panel of judges, formed by Elisa Valero, Iñaqui Carnicero, Nani Marquina, Nuno Brandão Costa, Ramón Monfort and Ricardo Sánchez Lampreave.

The awards are sponsored by Vodafone, Port Authority of Valencia and CESCE.
