Paréidolie
The International Contemporary Drawing Fair of Marseille will stage its third edition in a two-days long event, showcasing fourteen international galleries.
The third edition of Paréidolie, the International Contemporary Drawing Fair of Marseille, will take place the 27th and 28th of August at the Château de Servières, during the opening week of the contemporary art scene, in the southern city of France.
For this new edition, Paréidolie will be presenting fourteen international galleries, continuing its development while preserving the intimistic and friendly aspects, that mark this venue. After Bernard Blistene in 2014 and Olivier Kaeppelin in 2015, the artistic committee will be chaired this year by art historian and curator Paul Ardenne, and composed of art collectors, artists and institutional partners.
Within the space of the fair, Paréidolie will offer two carte blanche to regional structures, present the work of a guest artist, and the projection room will be curated by journalist and critic Lea Bismuth. Beside the fair, there will also be a presentation of a video installation by Hiraki Sawa, within the refined Grobet-Labadie museum, a wealthy XIX century collectors’s house.
