Also this year E-Straordinario presented a project that takes contemporary art to the business world as a teaching and methodological tool for corporate training. The Wishfull Map #4, with artist Pietro Ruffo, is curated by Marcello Smarrelli.

The goal was to stimulate team building activities, through the creation of a collective art work, and to strengthen collaboration and integration between colleagues. By putting efforts into a unique piece of art, employees from different areas and with different roles dialogue in a creative exchange.

The artist opened his workshop with a special world screening, inspired by French astronomer Joseph Nicolas De L’Isle and his De L’Isle Equidistant Conic, from 1745. Pietro Ruffo’s map, created together with 30 employees from an insurance company during the two-days workhop, is an artistic reinterpretation of a risk map, where each color corresponds to a country’s stability level.

With this fourth reading of the world the artist continues his research with “powerfull pieces that are emotionally engaging”, as curator Marcello Smarelli explains, “supported by deep topics such as world history, philosophy, and economics”. Piero Tucci accompanied the artist to translate in business terms the workshop’s messages and ideas.
