Designgoat: IMMA

For the main entrance of The Irish Museum of Modern Art Designgoat developed a collection of furniture using solid ash, steel panels and cushions.

After closing for renovations in 2012 The Irish Museum of Modern Art wanted to re-open their doors with a lobby that would invite their patrons to sit, relax and browse.
They approached the Dublin-based duo Designgoat to create a collection of furniture that would do just that.
Using solid ash and steel panels they manufactured several pieces that sit together or separately in the main entrance of the Museum, collaborating with Elks of Ireland to create cushions that would compliment the material and colour palate of the collection. The collection has been growing since the first pieces were delivered and have found their way to other areas of the gallery.
