Revive 1+2

Kvadrat will present at Orgatec Revive 1+2, two vibrant upholstery textiles designed by Georgina Wright and made from post-consumer recycled polyester (PET).

Revive 1+2
Revive 1+2 are made from post-consumer recycled polyester (PET) and are especially created with a focus to reduce the environmental impact both in production and natural resources.
The PET comes from used plastic bottles. The production process behind Revive 1+2 is much more efficient than for virgin polyester. Less energy and chemicals are used, while CO2 emissions are minimised.

The designs of Revive 1+2 are inspired by the textures, colours and materials of harbours and fishing boats. They each comprise two unicolours, one in the warp and one in the weft. These are either tone-in-tone or slightly contrasting. This ensures the designs complement each other well.
While Revive 1+2 share characteristics, each is distinctively individual. Revive 1 features subtle chevron-like shapes, but appears to be solid when viewed from a distance. Revive 2, on the other hand, has a directionless, organic pattern consisting of tiny squares. The way the patterns emerge from the textiles depends on the level of contrast in the colourways.

Revive 1 comes in 25 colourways and Revive 2 comes in 22 colourways. The colour palette for both fabrics combines calm, natural tones, such as wheat and cream, as well as bright shades, like rich red and electric blue.

Due to their durability and added flammability resistance, Revive 1+2 are particularly suitable for contract environments.
