Designed by Tommaso Caldera for Incipitlab, Pita is a marble mortar born with the aim to renewing, in terms of gestures and shape, the traditional kitchen tool.

Tommaso Caldera: Pita

Pita, made of turned Carrara marble, is thought for quick and continuous uses, moving away from the static traditional heavy mortar.

Size and weight allow to use the object without any need of kitchen counter or table as supports, in this way the project tries to introduce new gestures and behavior, moving the marble mortar from the knick-knacks to everyday kitchen tools.
