Marc Sadler has come up with Pli, a sound-absorbent space divider with panels connected via elastic straps inspired by saddle-making, that can also be folded up on itself and easily moved. “Also in the home, Pli becomes a real part of the furniture as well as a device to improve the acoustics in spaces” explains Sadler.

President, by Philippe Nigro meanwhile is a system made up of solid wood profiles combined with sliding sound-absorbent panels that are modular and can be layered. The extensive choice of sizes and finishes make the system easy to configure for any space in endless combinations “Sound, like light, if not controlled and carefully designed, can be annoying; noise can reduce the living quality of a space, however beautiful it might be” explains Nigro.
