“Middle-Earth. A journey inside Elica” Exhibition
The project is the outcome of a journey made by two young Italian photographers to Gruppo Elica sites around the world (China, Italy and Mexico) with the aim of portraying the complexity of a reality that goes beyond the simple definition of “company”. A reality that is firstly formed by the people who work within it, each with their particular and valuable identity, explored in these photographs in its deepest and most invisible folds, creating a rounded portrait that is free from rhetoric.
The exhibition presents over 30 pictures by the two artists who have chosen photography as their language of expression. One studied and collected the faces of people who work in the Elica factories at Querétaro (Mexico), Shengzhou (China) and Fabriano (Italy), while the second instead concentrated on the industrial landscape of the Italian company headquarters at Fabriano and Mergo.
