Dutch young designer Tomas Schietecat creates an innovative furniture out of loose aluminum parts and is now looking for buyers via crowdsourcing.

Young designer Tomas Schietecat (graduated in 2009) made Vanschie01. The cabinet consists of loose aluminum parts that are cut by an industrial laser. They fit together precisely, so that they can carry a huge weight. Little material, can be mounted with little effort.

Via crowdsourcing Schietecat wants to bring the first series to the market and to reach a large crowd with his design. That is in essence a custom product. The basic model can be tuned to the clients’ personal taste. But the production will only start, if Vanschie01 is able to reach a minimum of 6 buyers.
