Through its structure and the material used, the Riviera collection is an emphatic tribute to the stone tables of the grottos, the inns dotted along Ticino’s valley where eating outdoor is a must. In these inimitable epitomes of the local art of good living, the tables often consist simply of a thick stone slab across to vertical slabs. The Riviera valley, which irrigates the whole of Ticino, is also the original centre of the stone market in the canton.
Launched in 2012 by the graphic designer and entrepreneur Demian Conrad, the Dadadum brand was created in Switzerland, between Ticino, Grisons and the city of Lausanne.
Out of respect for and in homage to the specificities inherent to Swiss design (functionality, technical expertise, minimalism), Dadadum is a clear continuation of Swiss heritage, a point underlined by the frequent allusions to alpine values and traditions.
