Foam & Glass

Roos Gomperts’ project brings together foam and glass, two materials that are visually and physically opposites, highlighting their relationship.

Two materials that are each other’s visual en physical opposites. The one often used to protect the other. By treating glass and foam as equals, both materials enhance each other and gain new meaning.

“As a designer I hold value in exploring the optimal communicative strength of the materials that I work with.” explains Roos Gomperts.

Roos Gomperts is an Amsterdam-based young designer. She intuitively searches for the light-hearted, hidden humor in every material and medium she works with. She gives space to the natural behaviour of materials, while she is looking for contrasts in shape, colour and material.

Ross Gomperts is part of the Dutch Invertuals collective and her project has been showed at the “REVALUATE” exhibition, during the Dutch Design Week 2013.
