Here, schoolchildren, students and other visitors can work, while they seem to be displayed inside the showcases, along with the objects from the Boijmans collection. The first series are showcases, whereas the second series of Trestle Tables are more practical in nature and primarily complement the organization of workshops and studio sessions.
Developed from a basic trestle, the design is in fact an extended trestle wide enough to be a table. One or two trestle tables can be assembled with a larger table top to form a bigger table. The longest table can be used as a horizontal or vertical easel. Depending on placement, one or two children can sit behind their easel, while the metal ridge that is used to join table tops can also be used as a pencil and utensil holder.
