The chief editor and publisher of Domus China, the deputy editor of Domus, and Consul General of Italy in Shanghai, all made remarks at the beginning of the event. As a renewal program first launched in 2015, Baitasi Remade project has been upgraded this year to shape new urban communities and social alliances, aiming to integrate public engagement and architectural and infrastructural development through soft-strategies, bringing sustainability to Beijing’s traditional settlements, especially the Hutongs.

David Chipperfield Architects has lately designed two flagship stores for Valentino in London and Rome, giving rise to rigorously designed spaces featuring the most sophisticated details and materials in specific contexts. An exemplary solution was proposed by O’Donnell + Tuomey for a school complex in Cork, Ireland, between diverse buildings lying on different site levels, where the volumes were patiently stitched together and carefully juxtaposed on a steep urban slope.
