The Gospel by Studio Job

Studio Job has designed an installation of outsize objects and a table service for Royal Ticchelar Makkum at the Chiostri di San Simpliciano.

Founded by Job Smeets and Nynke Tynagel in 2000, right after they graduated from the Design Academy in Eindhoven, Studio Job has become famous for its outsize design sculptures. A new and entertaining installation, presented by the Zuiderzee Museum and entitled “The Gospel”, consists of two large sculptures in leaded glass and rosewood with images that reproduce icons and biblical scenes and an oversize tea-service in oxidised metal. It serves to introduce the new work that the Antwerp-based studio has done for Dutch company Royal Tichelaar Makkum: an elegant table service in porcelain, with twelve hand-decorated pieces for collectors. Opening party 22 April from 7pm to 10pm.
