Miyake 11th winner of the Wexner Prize

The revolutionary creations in fabric by Issey Miyake are the winners of the eleventh edition of the Wexner Prize that since 1992 has been giving recognition to contemporary artists.

Working for three decades between art, fashion and design, the Japanese designer is the first in his category to be given such an honour and, like those before him, will be invited to talk about his philosophy and career at Ohio University, the list of previous winners includes composers, artists, directors and architects such as Peter Brook, Merce Cunningham, Martin Scorsese and Renzo Piano.
