Three days in Bologna (25-27 January) with this year an extra date in Ferrara (2 February) in which to examine the state of play in electronic art. This will be the fifth edition of the event organised by Netmage and directed by Daniele Gasparinetti and Andrea Lissoni that every year looks at contemporary work in the audio visual field.

Its formula is both innovative and effective. An international competition is launched and the most interesting projects are chosen, this year for example 180 entries came in from all over the world. In parallel, Netmage has commissioned a series of live media sets to 5 pairs of visual and sound artists.

This year they are Armin Linke/Carl Michael von Hausswolff, Carlos Casas/Sebastian Escofet, Opificio Ciclope/Egle Sommacal, Moira Ricci/Invernomuto, John Duncan/Leif Elggren. Meanwhile the performance section of the festival focuses on the work of Kinkaleri, with an event on the limits and extent of vision. Also previewing is new work by David Lynch, Inland Empire. E.S.
