Studio Rainville-Sangaré and Studio Beau designed a new cozy spot in the heart of the Hochelaga-Maisoneuve neighbourhood in Montréal, Canada. The Maneki Comptoir Asiat’ is a restaurant that offers contemporary asian dishes in a convivial and playful atmosphere.

The designers decided to bring forward some Asian pop elements such as bright neons, famous figures, pop songs, famous traditional dishes and so on. The logotype is referential to the maneki-neko, the Fortune cat figurine, popular in Japanese and Chinese cultures. The interior design is contemporary and playful, with custom-made furniture. A custom lighting zig-zags accross the room offering spatial rythm and metals grids are hanging around the place allowing the restaurant to pin graphical branded assets and specials menus.
